Bullpadel Vertex 05 2027 vs 2026: what's the difference?

On paper, they're the same racket. Bullpadel's own product pages give the 2027 and 2026 Vertex 05 the same shape, weight, thickness, core and face. The only figure that differs is the balance: roughly 25.4 cm on the 2026 against roughly 25.5 cm on the 2027. The price is another story. On 31 October 2026 the cheapest 2026 model we found was €186.95 and the cheapest 2027 model €297.96, so last season's edition costs €111.01 (37%) less. We haven't played either racket: everything below comes from Bullpadel's own specs and our daily price check of EU shops.

The specs side by side

Both columns come from Bullpadel's own product pages on its Spanish site: the 2026 Vertex 05 and the Vertex 05 27. Bullpadel's Spanish terms are in brackets.

Bullpadel writes "aprox." next to both balance figures. It calls the 2026 balance "alto" (high) and gives no word for the 2027, so both racket pages show a high balance, with the 2027 one marked as our estimate. Both editions have Custom Weight: 3 g plates for adjusting the balance.

What Bullpadel does call new

• Vertex Core. On the 2027 page, Bullpadel calls the Vertex Core the fifth generation, with a distinctly triangular geometry. The Vertex Core is also in the 2026 model's list of technologies, and Bullpadel doesn't say whether the core itself has changed.
• The copy. The 2027 description is a rewrite of the 2026 one. The specs underneath are the same, bar the balance.
• Vibradrive. Bullpadel lists Vibradrive for the 2026 model, but not in the 2027 model's technology tab. Whether that's a change to the racket or just a shorter list, Bullpadel doesn't say.

Bullpadel names no difference in how the two play, and neither do we.

Vertex 05 26 vs 27: which one are you buying?

Bullpadel calls the new edition "Vertex 05 27"; the 2026 edition is plain "Vertex 05". Not every shop puts the year in the name, and some write "26" and "27" instead of the full year. So a listing without a year isn't necessarily the new one. The numbers settle it:

• EAN (the barcode number): 8445402973996 for the 2026, 8447552134470 for the 2027.
• Bullpadel's reference: DE88000000 for the 2026, DQ78000000 for the 2027. Smash Expert even puts DQ78000000 in the web address of its 2027 listing.

Check the EAN in the product details before you order, or ask the shop. If your receipt or box shows one of these numbers, you know which edition you have.

Where a shop gives the EAN, we match its price on it: Ofertas de Padel, Tennis-Point and Zona de Padel for both editions, plus Smash Expert for the 2027. We get no EAN from Padel Nuestro and Padelxpert, so we match their offers by name.

Prices on 31 October 2026

A dash means we have no offer for that edition at that shop. Five of the six shops still ask €349.95 or more for the 2027; against those prices, the cheapest 2026 (€186.95) is little more than half. All prices are in euros from EU shops; ordering from the UK, check delivery costs and any import charges first. Live prices and delivery costs per shop are on the racket pages.

The gap is closing. On 24 October the cheapest 2027 was still €349.91 at Zona de Padel and the cheapest 2026 €177.95 at Tennis-Point: €171.96 apart. Since then Zona de Padel has cut the 2027 twice, to €315.00 on 26 October and €297.96 on 29 October. That puts the lowest 2027 price 14.8% below where it was a week earlier. Over the same week the lowest 2026 price went the other way, up 5.1% to €186.95. In seven days the gap shrank from €171.96 to €111.01. We can't tell you whether that carries on; the price history on both racket pages updates every day.

Over the last 30 days the cheapest 2026 ranged from €177.95 to €199.96, and the cheapest 2027 from €297.96 to €349.91. We first saw the 2027 model at the shops we track on 29 September 2026. That's the day of our first round of the shops, not a release date.

Our 2027 collection tracker follows both editions of 16 lines. In 12 of them the 2026 edition was at least 5% cheaper, and across all 16 the median gap was 36% (31 October). At 37%, the Vertex 05 sits right around that median. For Bullpadel price drops, see the Bullpadel deals.

The rest of the Vertex 05 family

These are the pairs our tracker makes: the same model in 2026 and 2027, with the lowest price on 31 October 2026. We make no claims here about the variants' specs; those are on their racket pages.

The Vertex 05 Hybrid 2027 (€349.91) has no 2026 edition in our tracker to compare it with.

What the Vertex 05 is, and who it's for

If you were hoping for a verdict on how the 2027 plays: we haven't played it, and we won't pretend otherwise. This is what we can tell you.

• Level. Bullpadel lists both editions at "profesional". On our racket pages that counts as advanced and pro.
• Playing style. All-round, says Bullpadel (polivalente); on the 2027 page it mentions attack, defence and transitions.
• Build. A diamond head, a head-heavy balance (for the 2027, our estimate), 365–375 g, a MultiEVA core with a medium feel and a rough 12K carbon face.
• Bullpadel's own chart, out of 5, is the same on both pages: power 3, control 3.5, sweet spot 4, manoeuvrability 4, stability 3.5 and stiffness 3. That's why both racket pages show the same power, control, sweet spot and manoeuvrability.

If you're still building your game, keep Bullpadel's "profesional" level in mind before you buy either edition. Not sure? Ask the coach. It ranks rackets on playing characteristics, your preferences and price, never on commission.

When is the 2027 model worth the extra?

• When your shop has run out of the 2026. On 31 October, three of the four shops with the 2026 had it in stock; all six had the 2027.
• When you simply want the latest edition, for the look, say. That's taste, not a spec.
• When the gap falls to what the new edition is worth to you. It shrank by €60.95 in the week to 31 October, and the price charts on both racket pages show where it goes next.
• Otherwise the 2026 is the logical buy. By Bullpadel's own specs you get the same racket for €111.01 less.

Want to spend even less? The previous generation, the Vertex 04, was €135.41 at Zona de Padel on 31 October. That's a different racket, though, so compare the specs first.
